Strike T......until the sleepless, exhausted PCs...

Strike Two? I don't recall 2E having any mechanics to simulate exhaustion. I mean, plenty of folks house-ruled fatigue (penalty to hit, lose some hit points, can't memorize spells), but it seems that the lack of an official sleep deprivation rule would make this doubly annoying.

PC: I do (some thing).
DM: You can't. You're too tired.
PC: What?
DM: It's those Ghost Knight dreams--you can't sleep and you're completely drained.
PC: Then how'd I get out of bed? If I'm drained, then I go rest up.
DM: You can't. The Knight haunts you.
PC: Grrr.Erin Smalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16085303583608172242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4829093857574761981.post-53291021780054500572011-09-06T15:33:58.854+01:002011-09-06T15:33:58.854+01:00This comment has been removed by the author.Erin Smalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16085303583608172242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4829093857574761981.post-62775182308000038162011-09-06T14:00:33.371+01:002011-09-06T14:00:33.371+01:00*facepalm*
