Hex Crawl 23 #11: Salt Flat Road

One hex northeast, one southeast of Alakran.

The drylands to either side of the Scarp are dotted with salt flats. Legend has it that they mark where the tears of the gods fell when they first beheld the wickedness of mankind. At any rate, the flats and the proximity of a briny sea to the north are the reason salt is as cheap and plentiful in these lands as gravel. In fact, salt-preserved food is stigmatized as the provender given to charity cases and common soldiers.

In this area the great paving stones of Nama'a the Road of Flowers, each the size of two coffins laid side by side, march three abreast past one of these unremarkable salt flats.
