Two hexes due south of Alakran.
Over millennia, sandstorms from the south and west have smoothed and lowered the yellowish ridges of these sandstone hills. Over centuries or decades, they have done the same for a row of white marble statues, spaced just far apart on the southernmost ridgetops to be able to see one from the other, impossible to miss if leaving this hex from the south. Some have enough detail to see that they are bearded men, soldiers or civilians, all facing south. Others are as featureless as a clay figurine molded by a child.
Evocative, that last line. Excellent twist.
