1 5-mile hex south of Alakran
Goatherds of Alakran don't much cross the ragged sandstone ridge south of town. They don't like to stare off south into the dry plain, see the shifting dunes beyond, and wonder if beyond them really exists that fabled city of lost and rescued women, Zigmunus. They recall other tales, of she-monsters dwelling among the sands of that southern expanse, hybrids of woman and beast, daughters of the demoness Ekidna.
But you're no goatherds.
Recently, there was an earthquake which everyone in fifty miles of the Scarp felt. As a result, some fake daubed sandstone fell off the south face of the ridge. It had been intentionally hiding a cave.
What's in there? Surely a tomb of some kind. But not an Urig anathema tomb (hex #2). Those always face west, and this one goes in north. No, it is a place of the ancient serpent folk, whose shapeshifting descendants walk the earth today!
